2025 Sunset Concert Series FAQs

Where and when are the shows?

The Wadsworth Homestead is at 4 South Street Geneseo. Gates for all shows open at 5:00p.m.. The opening act will usually play from 5:30-6:30, with the headliner starting at 7:00.

Do I need tickets/reservations for the shows?

Thanks to our generous sponsors and donors, this year’s series is entirely free. However, due to capacity limitations, we may need to establish reservation links though our ticketing platform afor some of the shows. Direct links to each show will be posted here once established.

Are food and beverages available?

Yes, alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages are available for purchase. Food is also available onsite thanks to our friends at Cosmic Charlie Cafe (burritos) and the Wadsworth Grill (hamburgers and hot dogs). Other food vendors may also be present at one or more of the shows. As a result, we ask that you do not bring your own food and beverages other than water.

Are the shows family and pet friendly?

We welcome music lovers of all ages, and are planning various activities specifically geared towards kids. All children under 12 can have free entry to the grounds. Unfortunately, local regulations mean we cannot allow any pets except for service animals in accordance with Federal ADA regulations.

What can I bring?

Blankets, lawn chairs, backpacks (subject to search), sun screen, phones, unopened water bottles, point and shoot cameras, etc. are all allowed inside the festival grounds. We ask you do not bring any bottles, cans, weapons, professional cameras with detachable lenses, fireworks, or coolers inside the grounds.

What happens in the event of rain?

The venue has a 250 person tent. In the event of rain, the show will move to the tent. This is why it might be wise to secure advance reservations, as those with reservations will recieve priority for admission. In the event of severe weather, the event will be either postponed or cancelled.

Help us bring live music to Livingston County, free of charge.

This summer, the Geneseo Jam Fund (a 501(c)(3) public charity) is partnering with Geneseo Jam Kitchen to produce the 2025 Sunset Concert Series at the Wadsworth Homestead — and most importantly, to make it completely free. Your donations help make this a reality.

What your donation supports:

  • Artist fees: Geneseo Jam Fund aims to bring high-caliber musicians to Livingston County. We estimate that about 60 percent of our annual budget will go directly toward paying artists.

  • Production costs: Professional sound engineering and stage equipment rental ensure a quality concert experience for attendees.

  • Community engagement: All types of people, from toddlers to rockin’ grandmothers, occupy the same space when they enjoy our shows. By making the shows free of charge, we hold the door open to participation in this community.

  • Cultural enrichment: With the right mix of artists catering to diverse musical genres and tastes, we can make Geneseo and Livingston County a cultural destination.

What your donation gets you:

  • $10 and up: Listed as a Jam Friend on our website + Sunset Concert Series sticker

  • $100 and up: Listed as a Front Row Jam Friend on our website + Sunset Concert Series t-shirt, sticker

  • $250 and up: Listed as a Touring Jam Friend on our website + Sunset Concert Series blanket, t-shirt, sticker

  • $1000 and up: Listed as a Jam Friend Superstar on our website + all the above merch

Show us your donation receipt at any of our shows to pick up your gear!

If you’d prefer to donate in a different way, checks can be made payable to “Geneseo Jam Fund Inc” and mailed to 6 Oak St, Geneseo, NY 14454. You can also find us on Venmo (@GeneseoJamFund). We can even accept donations of appreciated securities — if this option interests you, reach out to mooney@geneseojamfund.org.

We’d like to thank the Wadsworth Homestead for generously donating their venue to host these events. This project is also made possible in part with funds from the Genesee Valley Council on the Arts Aid to Localities program.
